  2. 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  3. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  4. 1 pinh salt
  5. 3/4 cup,sugar, powdered
  6. 1 cup,cold water
  7. 1/4 cup sunflower oil
  8. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  9. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  10. 1 tsp coffee powder
  11. For the cocoa frosting
  12. 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  13. 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  14. 1/4 cup milk
  15. 1/4 cup, powdered sugar
  16. 1/4 cup dried cranberry
  17. 12 de-skined almonds

  1. First grease the baking dish with some oil. Take some salt in a heavy bottom pot. Keep a 1/2 inch stand on the salt. Cover the pot and pre-heat for 5-7 minutes on low-medium flame.
  2. Meanwhile, sieve flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking soda and keep on a plate.
  3. In a another pot, take sugar. Add cold water and stir to dissolve the sugar. Add sunflower oil and brisk well. Then add lemon juice and vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Add the sieved ingredients to wet mixture. Stir well, avoiding any lump formation.
  5. The batter is slightly thinner. Pour the chocolate cake batter to the prepared cake tin.
  6. Tap the cake tin,to release air bubbles. Keep the cake tin in the pot. Bake first 10 minutes, on high flame and then keep the flame and low-medium level and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. To make the frosting, take, sunflower oil, milk and sugar in a pan. Mix and dissolve sugar on low heat. Then add cocoa powder and coffee powder. Switch off the flame, when dissolve and mix well.
  8. When still hot, pour the frosting. Pour evenly with spatula and keep in the fridge to set for 2 hours. Cover the cake with frosting with a dome shaped cover.

    Then top the chocolate cake with almonds and cranberries.
